Repro steps
- Under settings switch to Test wiki
- Search for article "Bird"
- Edit it
- Once you save your changes the article is not automatically refreshing any more
Also the refresh button does nothing. I just did this edit[1] on the Bart and the page not only didn't refresh, but when I noticed that I pressed refresh and nothing happened. I then went back to the explore screen, switched to History, opened Feminist Sex Wars[2] and it reloaded with my edit in place (and still not yet reverted, yipee!).
[1] A good faith edit to change a subtitle, not intended as a test.Diff of edit performed on iOS 9.2 iPhone 5C with 5.0.0 beta 665
[2] You might be asking, why did you happen to edit this article? Here's my user story:
- The other day I was grooming the board, and assessing the current state of T65971 which uses bell hooks as its canonical example.
- Today, commuting under San Francisco I was bored, and looked at my Explore feed. Based on reading about bell hooks, Feminist Sex Wars was recommended to me, and based on the title alone I had to read what this was about.
- In reading the article, I found the prevailing use of a war metaphor overwhelming, and maybe little insulting to a serious intellectual dialog. I changed a section title to remove its war metaphor.
Checked with 5.0.0 (710) on iPad mini iOS 8.2 and iPhone 6 iOS 9.0 - both testwiki and enwiki (my page) - the updates appear immediately after 'Save'. No additional refreshing is required.
Note: I am checking this issue quite regularly (and, of course, it's a part of Regression testing). On Feb 09, there were some hiccups with refreshing an edited page - I was testing my User:Etonkovidova/Sandbox. The refreshing issue was not consistently reproducible though.
