Wiktionary macros for assisted article creation don't work for IP users
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Macros like the plural form macro only work for logged in users.

How to reproduce:

  1. Be not logged in
  2. Navigate to any article, for example https://en.wiktionary.org/w/index.php?title=table&action=edit&section=4
  3. Hit "edit"
  4. Replace {{en-noun}} with some sample plural like this: {{en-noun|xtables}}
  5. Hit "Show preview"
  6. Observe that 'xtables' link is red, which means that no macro is attached (for logged in users 'xtables' would be green)
