Could you clarify why a generic #Wikimania team project would be helpful?
In 2015, organizational tasks were managed on the #Wikimania-Hackathon-2015 board in the "Organization" column. If the 2016 team would like to use Phabricator for organizing, they should please express that.

Did the Wikimania organisers ask for this?

Did the Wikimania organisers ask for this?

I'm pretty sure not, or I would know.

Declining as per last three comments.

example of cross-Wikimania task.

What do you mean by cross-Wikimania? Repeat tasks, i.e. tasks that must be solved in multiple occasions, are fixed by policy or documentation and are rarely suitable for Phabricator. Perhaps you just want to edit https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimania_Handbook ?

@Danny_B: The task you mentioned isn't recurring (once it is solved it'll be documented for any future Wikimania) and even if it was I don't see how having a #Wikimania project would help when it comes to each Wikimania's planning workflow. Could you elaborate? Would that mentioned task have to stay open forever? Would that mentioned task have to be cloned for every Wikimania? If the latter, how would a generic #Wikimania project help? Would people have to go through all open and closed #Wikimania tasks to judge whether they are applicable for the next Wikimania event?

I'll do some in-person discussions during Wikimania and then I'll put some comment here...

@Danny_B: Any post-Wikimania comments to share?

Work in progress.
Relies on some stuff which is still in progress. Once that is solved, some resume will go here of course.

No reply by original reporter to T126954#2028043 or T126954#2253648 asking for a description of a root problem; no updates on "work in progress" for two months.

Proposing to decline. :-/

Declining this task for the time being, as no answers were provided to questions in T126954#2028043 T126954#2253648.

Please feel free to reopen this task once input has been provided which specific existing problems might get solved by such an additional team project, in contrast to existing Wikimania related Phabricator projects in the past. Thanks!
