@violetto and myself are both pro changing this to warningbox from UX perspective. There will be ongoing improvements to the message box colors in connection with T109915: Improve color palette to comply with WCAG 2.0 min level AA and color-deficiency-friendly. later in T127405.

Both.

Reopening - https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/271720/ changed the style of the warning box shown in the edit action, but not the preview action.
