The only thing I liked about the Phabricator task creation form was that the "subscriber" field was prefilled with my name, but I was able to remove it before submitting the task. Now my name is not listed, but is silently added to subscribers and has to be removed later.

The general expectation that a task reporter should be interested in their task, potential followup questions, progress, makes this request pretty much a "declined" to me.

Proposing to decline as per T127641#2051512 - we don't allow anonymous reporting (due to not being able to follow up with reporters), and I don't see a "common enough" use case either here.
You are free to unsubscribe yourself after creation in a separate step.
