Basically same as T122524: Add amire80 to analytics-privatedata-users group but for myself.
I am measuring our engagement metrics, which right now requires a dump of some fields of cx_translations of wikishared database and a post-processing script. I do not want to run those queries on production. I could teach Amir to do those but I think some redundancy would be good anyway.

it looks like @Nikerabbit is already a member of the statistics-users group.
Perhaps something is wrong with the SSH setup? Feel free to ping me on IRC (ema).
statistics-users provides stat1003 access, not stat1002. It also does not provide access to the password needed to access the databases as the research user.
I'm not really sure why this is a request for stat1002 access instead of just replacing statistics-users with researchers.
Ottomata summarised this well:
Nikerabbit you want to be in the researchers group, and you will use it to access a file on stat1003 to connect to mysql dbs
