#ifexist: produces an entry in links list
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

If there is a call of #ifexist: function, then the page that's existance is checked appears in links list, irrespectively to whether it exists or not. It is not important in most cases, but it produces many links and makes [[Special:Wantedpages]] look very ugly when used in "popular" templates.

Source code calling #ifexist may be found at http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Kalan/00?action=raw .

when a link has produced a visible effect on a page, but we agreed this was
not a high priority.
