Whenever I try to specify images per row in a gallery using mode "packed", the "perrow" parameter does not work. Tried on the sidebar here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Evaluation/News/Pre-conference_for_Wikimedia_Conference_2016, and ended up changing to mode "nolines".

Removing Blocked-on-Multimedia as there is no obvious urgency here (see its project description) and removing JavaScript (I don't think it's involved here?).
And as I am not a developer and have never worked with Gallery I'm also removing myself as task assignee. :)
@mcruzWMF: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Gallery_tag#Attributes_and_values states that perrow "has no effect if mode is set to packed".
So I'd say this task is invalid as it behaves as documented. (If you agree, please change the task status to 'invalid' via the "Actions" dropdown above the comment field.)
Or do you think there is a good reason/use case to support perrow when mode is set to packed? (Which would turn this task into a feature request.)
