Description: This is a tag for tracking work related to writing papers submitted to conferences/journals. While this is mostly something the Wikimedia Foundation Research teams do, there might be cases in which other teams want to track paper writing and submissions

At this point, this proposal is about converting Paper in a tag project.

I'd like to create a tag for tracking work related to writing papers submitted to conferences/journals. While this is mostly something the Research teams do, there might be cases in which other teams want to track paper writing and submissions, which is why I am proposing we create this as a yellow tag. Please post here any concerns / questions.

Is there a use case for this already other than "people might use it"?

Can't papers already be tracked via your workboards?

@Aklapper I'll close this request as it sounds overkill for now. The primary need for this project is as an internal tag for my team, I'll revisit this if and when other teams want to use it.

Errr, I'm a bit confused...if the task was declined, why was the project created?

I took the liberty to reopen the task and, in practice, propose to paint the current blue as yellow. This tag is quite distinct, specialized, and with a clear owner that will take care of it. I don't see any problem in approving it.

Sounds like a valid yellow tag to me as it's cross-project/-team enough.

I've made it yellow and updated the tag description.
