Sadly someone is squatting on the Wikipedia name on the app store. We will need to work with Apple to "reclaim" this. I will follow-up with partnerships and legal.

Just for the record, WMF legal has looked into this. Apple provides an iTunes takedown request form for trademark or DMCA issues, however its focused on media already on iTunes, while in this case whoever is "squatting" on Wikipedia has not actually released anything under that name.

So... we're gonna fill the form out, but will also be working through our contact at Apple to determine the best way to proceed.

We were able to resolve this with help from Apple and WMF legal. The previous claimant to the name didn't even want to hold it and was no longer an iOS developer, so this was pretty straightforward once we jumped the hoops.

The next release will be named "Wikipedia".
