@Aklapper: Could you update the herald rules? If not, can you suggest who I should ping to do so?

@Aklapper Ping! We're just starting to use these boards now and having this updated is important.

Do you know the herald rule number off hand from when these were created?

So, right now it has:
Anything in CirrusSearch, Wikidata-Query-Service , Elasticsearch, MediaWiki-Search, Maps and Wikimedia-Portals gets Discovery-ARCHIVED

You want all of those to also get Discovery-Search, right? (ie: not *just* CirrusSearch and MediaWiki-Search )

Doing *just* those two would requiring breaking out the herald rule into two, which I can do, but I just want to make sure I got the right intention.

greg moved this task from To Triage to Doing on the Phabricator board.

kk, I'll make two separate herald rules, one for adding discovery (that get's em all) and one for adding search-backlog (that gets only those 3)

greg renamed this task from Request for updates to Discovery-related phabricator herald rules to Create herald rule to add #Discovery-search-backlog to #CirrusSearch, #Elasticsearch, and #MediaWiki-Search.Mar 31 2016, 11:07 PM
greg updated the task description. (Show Details)

we should really move towards using subprojects instead of herald rules for situations like this. Herald rules have a fairly high cost to run, and that cost is paid every time a task is submitted or edited. Currently we have ~100ms spent evaluating herald rules, about 1ms per rule.

@mmodell: Thanks for the reminder. It prompted us to consider switching to sub-projects and/or milestones (at some point).
