Description

Per this I created my whitelist and added SineBot to it. But I still don't get notifications involving SineBot as seen here and here. The two attached screenshots are of Special:Notifications when SineBot signed my posts. The names correspond with the oldid=xxxxxxxxx part of the two diffs linked above.

I created https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Quiddity_%28WMF%29/Echo-whitelist
I opted-in to autosigning with {{YesAutosign}}: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Quiddity_%28WMF%29&diff=712397366&oldid=638700841 (because otherwise SineBot ignores editors with >800 edits).
I created a test post, and SineBot signed it for me: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:SineBot/Sandbox&diff=712397636&oldid=712397616
I was not notified.

However, I don't understand why SineBot would ever trigger notifications, given that it doesn't leave a three or four-tilde signature itself?! (Required per https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Echo#Technical_details )

As a complete guess... Is the extension's code checking for a link to the userpage of the editor who left the diff?
If so, then possibly it would work, if the  were instead  ?
