A noop puppet run on any appserver takes about 60-70 seconds and it's very slow and also taxing for the puppet master; this makes it excruciatingly slow to perform even a tagged puppet run for e.g. changing the apache configs.
Profiling the code and reduce the execution times in production is important for our operational capabilities.

A noop run on jessie takes 20-25 seconds, that's a way better gain than what I can achieve with profiling (and most of my tests proved inconclusive anyways).
I think I can decline this ticket now.
