I received a report from a group of researchers who all share the same IP address and are doing work with the dumps; they have requested a limit of 12 connections for their IP address.

Change 285682 had a related patch set uploaded (by ArielGlenn):
Raise connection limit for dumps server, for specific shared IP
Waiting for the Altiscale folks to subscribe to this task; once you do, let me know the IP address in question and I'll stuff that in the patchset.
Connections should come from this host: desktop2-ia.service.altiscale.com
Ip address is 10.252.18.87
Change 285682 merged by ArielGlenn:
base connection limit for dumps server on ip user agent
Nginx doesn't seem to allow for different treatment of (anges of) IPs for limits. I've tried a few different things and they all run up against the limits of what's configurable. So I've tried a different approach, to use the remote ip plus the user agent as a uniquw combination for limiting. If you don't all use the exact same user agent string you should be ok (fingers crossed). Care to try it now?
Trying it out right now. It appears to be working. I will post again once the operation has completed.
