On Beta, Flow talk page manager does not move pre-existing sub-pages of archives
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

A user with some pages already archived has a problem: these sub-pages has not been moved by Flow talk page manager.

@Mattflaschen told me here that's not possible and we need to think about the behavior.

Should be determine a way to move these sub-pages, or just document the fact that people need to change links to archives?

Trizek-WMF created this task.

I don't think it actually makes sense to move them.

The original bug says:

"Discussion_utilisateur:Yann/archives_2014 should have been moved to Discussion_utilisateur:Yann/Archive_1/archives_2014 and it was not the case. He has to move these pages manually."

I think the first page name is better, so just the links need to be changed (only if they are relative links starting with a / or .., (full links already remain working fine).

See https://fr.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=Discussion_utilisateur:Yann/Archive_1&diff=5831298&oldid=5831289

Full links didn't worked fine in that case. That's the purpose of that task.

Links (like this case) starting with / or .. are relative links. By full links, I mean non-relative links.

Correct. My bad, sorry.
