A user tried to change his/her e-mail address in the preferences section. User got the confirmation mail, clicked the link and saw that the e-mail address wasn't changed. I tried it too, changed my e-mail address in the preferences section, got an e-mail to confirm my e-mail clicked the confirmation link Special:ConfirmEmail/<random code> and noticed my e-mail wasn't changed in the preferences section. I sent myself an e-mail using Special:EmailUser and received it on the old e-mail address (the one that showed before the change in the preferences section and after).
So I can say that the e-mail address wasn't changed.

This is very likely due to the same bug as T134246: Changing the email addresses sends both emails to the old address, none to the new address. If so, the fix is now backported to group0 and group1 wikis. group2 will go to 1.27.0-wmf.23 in a few hours (scheduled for 19:00–21:00 UTC), and will be fixed at that time.
