Interwiki and interlanguage links must use lowercase codes
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Author: seahen123

Description:
I suggest that interwiki and interlanguage links, at least those with codes less than four letters long, function only if the code is in lowercase -- and not at all in direct URL entry -- if the server admin so chooses. This would accommodate abbreviations such as M:TG and ST:DS9, and I've yet to see an intentional interwiki or interlanguage link on en.wikipedia that didn't already comply.

bzimport set Reference to bz11482.
bzimport added a subscriber: Unknown Object (MLST).

That would lead to a very inconsistent namespace which I'd be very leery of supporting.
