Dashboarding and bots
Closed, DeclinedPublic4 Story Points

Description

As a user of the Portal dashboard - I'd like to know how much of our traffic (that is captured in existing logging) is known automata traffic (bots).

This ticket is to check out how much of that traffic that hits the wikipedia.org portal is bot traffic and if it's big enough, do we need to create it's own "page" in the dashboards.

We might also add in a link to a wiki page that describes the bot traffic phenomena for further information to users of the dashboards.

Because of the work we did in T143064, I think we can close (decline) this ticket, as the self-reported bots are now filtered out of the event logging.
