Grafana login issue for @thiemowmde
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

As an employee of WMDE Germany I request access to access Graphite data and edit (some) Graphana dashboards, in particular:

Event Timeline

I assume this a request to get added to an LDAP group to access Grafana-admin ?

I don't know. @Addshore told me to copy T133145, which I did here. I just want to be able to maintain https://grafana.wikimedia.org/dashboard/db/wikidata (add new dashboards, change existing ones). I still don't know how this is done (via code review somewhere, or is it just an admin panel?).

Yes, this is for access to grafana-admin.

@thiemowmde I have added you to the group grafana-admin. Please check that you can log in to https://grafana-admin.wikimedia.org

This seems resolved, and is only lacking the user confirmation they can now login.

Pending that somehow not working, I'm resolving this task. If it doesn't work, user can reopen.

Log in with what? I tried to login with my Wikitech login name "Thiemo Mättig (WMDE)" and the password I set up there. I checked that this login works on http://wikitech.wikimedia.org, and it does. But it does not on https://grafana-admin.wikimedia.org.

The on duty clinic ops will try to solve this. But yes, that is your correct cn, which you should be able to log in with. Maybe a grafana issue with non-latin characters?

Dzahn renamed this task from NDA request for @thiemowmde to Grafana login issue for @thiemowmde.Jun 21 2016, 5:43 AM

thiemowmde claimed this task.

I tried again with Chromium and can login, but can't with Firefox. So obviously something Firefox does different (encoding, obviously). Not to be solved here, so I'm closing this as resolved.
