Do something better (e.g., add AJAX pagination links, add regular pagination links, output an error message, or add a tracking category) instead of silently truncating the results when there are more than 345 results for Special:PrefixIndex and Special:AllPages transclusions
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

{{Special:PrefixIndex}} and {{Special:AllPages}} transclusions currently set a hard maximum number of results: 345, usually presented as three columns of 115 results.

Currently, we silently truncate the results at a seemingly arbitrary number, as far as I can tell.

Some options:

  • Add pagination links that can fetch more data with AJAX and load it in the same browser window
  • Provide a link to the next set of results that would take the user to Special:PrefixIndex?offset= or similar
  • Provide an error message of some kind or tracking category
