Event Timeline

This is apparently a feature: when the columns are sorted by priority, the task will get the priority of its new neighbors in the new column.

Yep, I have found this one before ;)

This is indeed a feature. It is a bad one.

This is apparently a feature: when the columns are sorted by priority, the task will get the priority of its new neighbors in the new column.

Not only in the new one, but also in the current one.

"It's not a bug, it's a feature..."

Even the Phabricator devs agree that the current implementation is confusing: https://secure.phabricator.com/T8135

Danny_B added a project: Upstream.
Danny_B moved this task from Backlog to Reported Upstream on the Upstream board.
Aklapper renamed this task from Moving tasks between columns on workboard changed priority to Moving tasks between columns on workboard changed task priority (when sorting tasks by priority).Jun 6 2016, 11:05 AM

Likely resolved in the upcoming 2019 Week 11 release, see https://secure.phabricator.com/D20242 and related tasks.

This cannot happen anymore as workboard columns in the Wikimedia Phabricator instance now have grouping, by default per priority.
