Description

This task will track the upgrade, installation, and deployment of relforge1001 & relforge1002.

hostname: relforge1001 (was restbase1002)
asset tag: wmf4657
rack: a5

  • - apply new hostname label & update visible label field in racktables
  • - move to 1GbE rack --moved to A3 u15
  • - upgrade memory from 64GB to 128GB with memory purchased on T131986
  • - upgrade to 4 3TB LFF disks purchased on T131986, uses extra sleds also purchased on same task.
  • - update mgmt dns entries & production dns (labs-support-vlan)
  • - update switch port description, enable port, move to proper vlan
  • - install_server module update
  • - Install OS (Trusty)
  • - Accept/Sign Puppet/Salt keys
  • - service implementation

  • - apply new hostname label & update visible label field in racktables
  • - move to 1GbE rack
  • - upgrade memory from 64GB to 128GB with memory purchased on T131986

All tasks for the setup of relforge100[12] have been accomplished, other than service implementation.

I'm assigning this to @EBernhardson for his review. If service deployment will be via another task, feel free to resolve this.

Thanks! All the work here is much appreciated. I've put together T137256 to track setting up the elasticsearch cluster and appropriate labs networking changes.
