Steps to reproduce:

• Copy contents for a ref, including an unnecessary leading space.
• Paste it into Cite > Manual > Basic.
• Go to Re-use.
• Paste the ref into the search field, to find the ref you just created.

Result:

It's not there. You have to remove the leading space to get a match.
