Allow access to deleted articles to all past contributors to the article and talk page
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

When an article is deleted, it would be great if past contributors to that article could for at least some time still access the content so that they do not lost it. When contributors are contributing in good faith it might be that they do not expect to loose all their contributions when an article gets deleted. So providing access to that content would help them at least have access to the content they created.

Event Timeline

Wont happen, the amount of cases where sensitive information is contained in deleted revisions prevents mass automatic access.

Not going to happen. I see you got the article you were concerned about userfied [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Poligon&action=edit&redlink=1]. In the future you can always request a copy from the deleting administrator.

This task should be declined.

But in some cases it is clear that it was deleted not because it contains sensitive information. We know why things get deleted based on various rules references. Why it could not be available based on those?

Moreover, it editor contributed something to the page, they already had access to the content?

Also, here I am trying to address a general case, not my specific case.

But in some cases it is clear that it was deleted not because it contains sensitive information.

There is no way to distinguish between pages that contain such things and pages that don't.
