For example.
If I use the same syntaxe ({{DISPLAYTITLE:<span style="font-family:Verdana; font-size: 35pt; background-color:#FFF">Discussions about Second Journal of Science</span>}}) as this page (https://en.wikiversity.org/w/index.php?title=Second_Journal_of_Science&action=edit) on my sandbox (https://en.wikiversity.org/w/index.php?title=User:Lionel_Scheepmans/sandbox&action=edit) nothing appens.

Well, you can but you cannot change the title of the page using {{DISPLAYTITLE:}} See this edit for what you may do. What you may also do is this, i.e. changing the first letter to lower case. See also the docu on it.
