Story: As a user, I would like to know quickly what a qualifier and a reference is – maybe I can contribute them.

Any suggestion for the wording?

Reference: "Add a source (e.g. a book) for the value"
Qualifier: "Specify a value further"

Modified counter proposal since book references are rare in Wikidata and complicated:

Reference: "Add a source (e.g. an article in a newspaper) for the value"
Qualifier: "Specify a value further"

For the qualifier I would turn the sentence around to: "Further specify a value".
