edit-thank for new page creation results in a notification that redirects to the Error page.
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

  1. As a user( betalabs) create a wikitext page.
  2. As another user go to the newly created page and click on 'View history'.
  3. There will be 'thank' action displayed by the end of a line informing that such page was created.

Click on 'thank' and confirm as 'yes'.

The creator of the page will receive a notification (it'd be bundled if several users thanked).

The text excerpts includes a part of the message in 'View history'

(←Created page with '== July 05 == testing Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
Praesent vel metus enim. Praesent condimentum sit amet ex lobortis fringilla. Etia...')

If the notification is clicked (as a primary link), it'd be redirected to e.g.
http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=Mavetuna5&oldid=prev&diff=342954&markasread=307475 and displays
"Error

Our servers are currently experiencing a technical problem. This is probably temporary and should be fixed soon. [...]"

If 'thank' action was applied to normal edits on wikitext pages (the edits to which previous revisions exist), no text excerpts will be displayed and when the notification is clicked, a diff page would be displayed.
