Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

I try to upgrade the low definition files in the Fonds Trutat collection by the high resolution file. but this morning, the file upload isn't seeing.
My file is ok in my computer, and the vignette in the upload tool is ok also, but after the upload, the file is a white vignette and I have 0px in definition and 0 × 0 (6,98 Mio) in dimension. I don't understand what is happens.

Hi @Anne-LaureM, thanks for taking the time to report this!

Downloading https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b0/Les_Eaux_bonnes_%2C_scierie_%C3%A0_Artouste_-_Fonds_Trutat_-_MHNT.PHa.1018.16.09.jpg and trying to open the file in GIMP, I get an error:

Corrupt JPEG data: 14168 extraneous bytes before marker 0xed

Hence the image file is damaged. (Some applications might be able to work around that damage while others might not. )
I'm closing this task as invalid as the problem seems to exist already before uploading to Wikimedia Commons...

Aklapper renamed this task from Error file after upload to Error after JPEG file upload to Commons: No preview shown, 0x0px (due to corrupt JPEG data).Jul 20 2016, 12:11 PM

Hi Aklapper
You're right if my file was corrupt, but it isn't, I can open it in my computer with any problems, and the uploader generate the good preview, but the corruption arrive after the upload.

ps : I'm so sorry if my english isn't clear, I'm french and It's the first time I try to explain a technical problem in this language...
