https://grafana.wikimedia.org/dashboard/db/authentication-metrics shows login failure counts, but that does not include exceptions (since control never reaches the logging code in that case). We might want to have try-catch blocks with counting and rethrowing for something as mission-critical as login. (Still wouldn't help with fatals though.)
