Description

Hello,

I would like to request a temporary lift of the IP cap of the number of new editor Wikipedia accounts that can be created for a Wikipedia edit-a-thon that will be held next week. Here is the following information about the event and project:

  • The edit-a-thon will be held Wednesday, August 3, 3:00 pm -6:00 pm (this is the time we would need the cap lifted) Eastern Standard Time (US).
  • Approximate number of users: 90
  • I do not know the IP addresses that would be allowed yet - I am contacting the conference site to find out
  • The wikis we would like to allow account creation for are Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons

The wikis we would like to allow account creation for are Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons

There are about hundreds of WIkipedias - please specify. Thanks!

According to worldtimebuddy, this will be from 08:00 to 11:00 UTC time, same day, right?

I think it would be 7:00 to 10:00 pm UTC (converting from EDT).

Ah, ok. I used EST (US) as per description; but it seems EDT is used instead, in that case yep 7 AM to 10 AM in UTC. Thank you!

Yes! (The configuration change in T141421#2499096 has been "merged" into the codebase.)
