The task is a workaround.

When we triage tasks, we move the ones we discuss below this marker task in the column. That way, we don't revisit tasks already discussed. This task allows us to make that distinction.

So why don't you create another column then actually?

Another column would lead to more scrolling. We prefer this user experience in how we organize our work.

OK, I just wanted to know why you do that to try to find you better way for you how to achieve the same goal. You should be aware of that it is highly unreliable way of sorting and absolutely without any guarantee that that sorting will remain the same.

In any case the task should be in Lowest priority and Stalled status to indicate that it is totally unimportant (in fact void) task.
