Event Timeline
@dcausse, @EBernhardson can you confirm that nobelium isn't used anymore and that everything that was using it has moved to relforge?
Change 304112 had a related patch set uploaded (by Dzahn):
remove nobelium from puppet and install-server
Change 304113 had a related patch set uploaded (by Dzahn):
remove nobelium.eqiad.wmnet, keep mgmt
@Gehel Could we already "shutdown -h now" the machine at this point or do you still need something on it?
Steps completed for decommissioning (following Server Lifecycle documentation):
- puppet cleanup
- checked that nobelium is removed from icinga
- salt key deleted
- nobelium shutdown
- DNS entry removed (pending merge of https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/305192/), mgmt entries untouched at the moment.
@RobH I think I did my parts. Can you confirm that this is in fact a reclaim?
Change 304113 abandoned by Dzahn:
remove nobelium.eqiad.wmnet, keep mgmt
Reason:
duplicate of https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/305192/
Change 307493 had a related patch set uploaded (by Gehel):
reclaim nobelium - remove hiera host configuration
So in checking against the server lifecycle, this has been removed from all of puppet, as well as monitoring and has been shut down.
I've checked and disabled the network port.
@Cmjohnson: please wipe disks and add to the spares tracking sheet.
