Currently [[Special:LonelyPages]] is generated (but not in full) once every one or twosix(?) months. I tend to use this list (of 500-4500 pages = not a full "scan") to tag articles with {{Orphan}} on English Wikipedia.
It would be so much better if this list could be generated once every week/month instead.

In operations/puppet/modules/mediawiki/manifests/maintenance/updatequerypages/enwiki/cronjob.pp I see this is still set to be run every 6 months (January 28 and July 28).
We were told that with the new slaves and the query killer it's ok to run such query pages more often and that if some problem arises it's easily detected and reverted.
Given operations/puppet/modules/mediawiki/manifests/maintenance/updatequerypages/cronjob.pp uses the days 8–13 and 22–27, we could just make them monthly using the days 15–20 of each month.

I can confirm that the updates are being made. I will write up a nice little statement tomorrow about it to post on relevant WIkiProject, as well as on MediaWIki-talk pages to change the descriptions of the pages.
