Another issue is that cmstartsortkeyprefix was added in MW 1.18+. If we change the logic of SubCategoriesPageGenerator to always use cmstartsortkeyprefix then it will become incompatible with MW 1.14 to MW 1.17 (which we should support according to README.rst ).
