Since recently (~1 month), file names are being truncated on category pages on Commons, causing file names to end abruptly, where before the entire name could be visable (and copyable).
Checked on Chromium 52 on Windows 10.

I can reproduce this only using Chrome. All other browsers display the filenames correctly. I think it was fine until recently, this might be a new bug in Chrome (I see the issue with Chromium 53).
Oh, I'm only seeing this problem with my staff account... testing...
Gah, it's a gadget: "Long Image Names in Categories" -- in the "Interface: Editing and uploads" section.

I guess close as invalid?
Yeah; could you file something at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_talk:Gadget-Long-Image-Names-in-Categories.js (or somewhere better?) instead?
The Chromium bug for this is https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=516709.
