Description:
This seems to have fallen through the cracks. En.Wiktionary voted to have this extension turned on at http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:Votes/2007-08/Extension:_DidYouMean but no one got around to creating a bugzilla for it, (before now) apparently.

This extension needs to be code reviewed first, see bug 8648

Tim Starling, Rob Church, and Brion Vibber all reviewed this code about a year ago. Brion set up the test wiki on his own box so please test it: http://wiktionarydev.leuksman.com

Another developer, Greg Sabino Mullane, has also added postgres support and done some refactoring.

That's not to say it can't be improved or doesn't have any bugs. Key contributors to the English Wiktionary (at least Connel) feel it should be installed on the real site now and improved based on what we see happening there.
