(Staff Rev) Create simple process for staff review (Due Sep 7)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Update: Submissions will be posted in at Office:Community Engagement Insights/Proposal submissions

We need to come up with a quick plan for staff review of the surveys. It was suggested by @Quiddity (Nick) that we can easily post the proposal forms in Office for staff to review, if they would like.

I think we could do this once I do a first pass on all the surveys to clean them up and get clarifications directly from the teams. After a first review, the proposals would be set to "comment only" so staff can't make changes directly.

In addition, this would be a nice showcase of all the great questions that we want to ask :)

Let me know if you have thoughts or ideas about this, etc.

Thanks!
Edward

Hi folks - any thoughts on this? Thanks :)

I second placing the questions on Officewiki, once the first review is completed. It will make sense to also include the side information for the questions (Team goal, survey goal, question goal) for added context.

I think Officewiki makes sense, although perhaps we should use a Google doc instead because it provides a much better experience for commenting.

A couple suggestions on the logistics, to increase our chances of getting useful feedback:

  • Get the whole proposal on a single page, or in a single Google doc. It's much easier to scroll through one page than it is to open 10 different ones.
  • Send an email to wmf-all with a link to the proposal and a quick bulleted list of questions/issues that people are most likely to be interested in, so they can get a sense from the email alone whether they want to look through the whole survey.

Thanks @Neil_P._Quinn_WMF and @Kalliope - Yes - I was just thinking that I would collate collate the questions so they are by audience rather than by team - this would bring it down to 4 surveys. And yes - just in google docs - not going to deal with transferring into wiki mark up until the surveys are done and the questions needs to be archived/saved somewhere.

I will definitely be including all the goals and information use as well.

Any other folks have thoughts?
