There is a lot of momentum in the movement for initiatives spawned or supported by WikiCite 2016, mostly around:

• citation and source metadata modeling
• semiautomated data imports and curation workflows
• tools for source recommendation and statement extraction
• curated datasets on Wikidata integrating existing entities and sources

We're exploring the possibility of hosting a follow-up event in 2017 in the US to continue these efforts and looking for restricted funding to support this.
