Just added this extension and after adding this, and enabling the existing project with IsSprint and date, when i navigate to /project/sprint. I am getting this issue.

Same here, same issue : We love the Sprint plugin, but over the past few months a lot of the Sprint plugin features were breaking. The issue mentioned above may be the straw that breaks all the great functionalities. I would love to disable Sprint, but not sure how Phabricator would handle all the sprints that have used the functionality.
Contributed patches in Gerrit are welcome - as far as I know, the Sprint extension is on low maintenance (with one volunteer developer).

Make people not create sprints but instead milestones/subprojects? :)

Yes, milestones is our current direction, although there is reluctance due to not being able to have multiple tags (Phabricator related).
