[BUG] Wikipedia App crashes suddenly

Description

App worked perfectly many months, but now it crashes after start.

Device restart, or App Re-Installation did not help.

  • Android 6.0
  • HUAWEI P8 Lite

Yes, a server side change a couple of hours ago caused this.

By the way, as I don't like the new app start page - I wish to start with my last seen page, or with the current Main Page:

is it planned to have a setting for this (uh, "no more options" should not apply here)

@Wikinaut I'm afraid "no more options" applies here.
We would much rather improve upon the Explore feed, and make it incrementally more useful and engaging for our readers. The app should automatically resume at your last-read page, if you come back to it in less than 24 hours (if it doesn't do that, let us know). The feed also contains a "Today on Wikipedia" card that takes you to the Main Page of your Wiki, if necessary.

If I may ask, which portions of the Main Page do you find the most useful? (i.e. what do you find missing from the feed?)

I like the main page presented in the App.
