We still support the api output format googlmapswhich just calls Google maps with the same url but the output format changed to kml.
However it seems as though Google maps no longer supports kml files over url (or at least not the way we are doing it.
We need to investigate if this can be reactivated and if so repair the call. And if not simply drop the output format.

Yes but that is not where the link takes you. And I would still say we keep the kml format which one should then be able to paste in to a local Google Earth installation.

@Lokal_Profil: A good first task is a self-contained, non-controversial task with a clear approach. It should be well-described with pointers to help a completely new contributor. Given the current short task description (and "We need to investigate if this can be reactivated") I'm removing the good first task tag.
