Documentation about ways to gather community feedback, connected to the Technical Collaboration Guidance
Open, LowPublic

Description

Wikimedia Foundation's product managers and community liaisons would benefit from a Technical-Collaboration-Guidance recommendation about ways to gather community feedback (consultations, surveys...). What possibilities are available, what works and what doesn't.

There is material about this topic in several places, public and private (links welcome), although not all of it might be applicable to software products, and some of it will be outdated and all of it needing a review with fresh eyes.

I think Edward has actually worked on this front, so this is maybe more of a case of adapting what he wrote to the technical context.
