[BUG] Alpha builds are not being published
Closed, ResolvedPublic1 Estimated Story Points

Description

Alpha builds have ceased to refresh. Designers, and a at least one user, use these builds to check the state of master.

https://android-builds.wmflabs.org/ has:

Last successful build
13/09/2016, 19:21:46

A Jenkins job is triggered after a patch is merged: https://integration.wikimedia.org/ci/job/apps-android-wikipedia-publish/ and seems to properly generate a couple apk:

  • app-alpha-release-unaligned.apk
  • app-alpha-release.apk

I have no idea how the apk ends up on https://android-builds.wmflabs.org/ . If it fetches from https://integration.wikimedia.org/ci/job/apps-android-wikipedia-publish/ that Jenkins job seems to work all fine and had no configuration changes in September.

Our CI job is producing new APKs and meta.json[0] as @hashar mentioned but the android-builds cronjob[1] seems to have ceased running. I tried to SSH in (I think I have access) but it hangs. Do you know how we can reboot this machine?

@valhallasw directed us to the reboot button at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:NovaInstance. @bearND is an admin and pressed the button under mobile for android-builder.mobile.eqiad.wmflabs. I was able to ssh in successfully after that. The JSON file[0] is updated so I think we're good.
