Seems that our horribly outdated copy of the GlobalBlocking extension could do with an update...(T143512: Update extensions on Brickipedia and GBC )

This is only partially true: the GlobalContribs extension is unmainted, no longer works and is scheduled for archival, see T157240.
Brickimedia on the other hand is doing just fine: the main Brickimedia property, Brickipedia, the LEGO Wiki, continues to be hosted by ShoutWiki just as it has been since 2017.
