Lift the Wikipedia Account Creation Limit for three event times
- Tuesday, October 4, 2016 between 3:30pm-6:30pm (CST) October 4 and 11, 2016 [teaching students how to edit and create accounts] and
- Tuesday, October 10, 2016 between 3:30pm-6:30pm (CST) [create accounts, editing and adding content]
- Friday, December 2, 2016 from 12:30-3:00pmCST [creating accounts, editing and adding content]
The IPs to allow:
199.17.128.0 through 199.17.175.255 [this is our campus IP range]
We have a class 35 students for each of these events.
The list of wikis we plan to edit:
- For the October events we plan to edit the American Crime TV show page. For season two we are adding new content for each episode. This is for a Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies course. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Crime_(TV_series)#Season_2
- For the December event we are editing U.S. Supreme Court Justice Pages. We are adding new content about First Amendment cases and adding any missing biographical information. This is for a Mass Communication Media Law course.

Could you also give this account the authority to add accounts? wsuklarson [wikipedia login] This would be helpful on the days of the events, to ensure we can have all our students adding content.
