@MmeMim it's working for me both as an authenticated user and as an anon in an incognito browser. Can you recreate this or was it a transient problem?

If you can recreate it, having the error message would help us track down the problem in the server side logs.

This is the message I get:

"Rendering failed
Generation of the document file has failed.
Status: Rendering process died with non zero code: 1"

And yes, I got it with Safari, iExplorer with various laptops/computers over several months. It took me a while to find in the book I created this article to be the culprit.

In current Firefox funning on Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

"Generation of the document file has failed.

Status: Rendering process died with non zero code: 1

Return to Trujillo, Peru "

Hi @MmeMim and @Ariconte, thanks for taking the time to report this!
Unfortunately this report lacks some information. If you have time and can still reproduce the problem, please add a more complete description to this report. Ideally, exact and clear steps to reproduce should allow any other person to follow these steps (without having to interpret those steps) and see the same results. Problems that others can reliably reproduce can get fixed faster. Thanks!

I assume this is creating a PDF file from the wiki article, and not about going to the wiki article itself?

I can reproduce the problem by the following steps:

Aklapper renamed this task from Trujillo, Peru doesn't render to PDF creation for "Trujillo, Peru" on en.wp fails: Status: "Rendering process died with non zero code: 1".Sep 27 2016, 9:21 AM
Aklapper edited projects, added OCG-PDFRenderer; removed MediaWiki-General.

you are correct.

Sorry if you feel about as lost about my report as I did when someone pointed me to this page of an unknown part of the Wikiverse. Nothing is self- explaining here and even logging in not straight forward if your user name actually contains a blank. sigh.

Yes; that is how I reproduced the problem.
