TWLight goes out of its way to avoid using pronouns, so the English version is compatible with all editor genders. However, some languages (e.g. French) have innately gendered words that we cannot avoid applying to users (e.g. in translating "User" or "Editor"). TWLight should have a policy on how gender is to be handled and should apprise translators accordingly.
