Description

According to Mobile partnerships, Dialog Axiata (Sri Lanka) users only have access to a text-only version of Wikipedia under the Wikipedia Zero partnership.

To better understand these users:

  • Attached the HTML file of User:Colin/Alt as received by a Wikipedia Zero Dialog user.
  • Attached a screenshot of User:Colin/Alt as viewed by a Wikipedia Zero Dialog user.
  • List other WMF wikis accessible to Zero users (e.g. Wikisource, Commons, etc.).

The README in Extension:ZeroBanner suggests testing is simple in vagrant.

Dialog Axiata did not renew their Wikipedia Zero agreement. There are still 14 mobile providers with access to the text-only zero.wikipedia.org
