It seems this is a difference between purge/null edit and doing a real edit. The null edit does not update page properties to the new data. This might be the same as T133495

Purging with &forcelinkupdate=1 seems to have done the trick. Lowering priority and unassigning, no need to figure it right away, but it would be great to solve it in the longer term (e.g. with T119043)
