We're switching gears from Kasocki (Kafka Websockets) to Kafka HTTP + SSE/EventSource. This ticket tracks development of the prototype.
Much of the Kasocki work can be transferred over, but some tests and behavior is very different. Initial WIP here: https://github.com/ottomata/KafkaSSE
